Conference participants discuss wide topics

There were broad topics discussed during the 3rd Eskom / SASD Chapter Conference which was held on 16 November 2015. Ms Nalini Pillay, the Vice-president of the Chapter highlighted these topics which included among others: energy, gangsterism, health systems, ponzi schemes,  project prioritization, chemical usage, situational awareness, Innovation process and green economy

SASD Chapter holds 2nd Roundtable meeting

The South Africa System Dynamics Chapter held its second Roundtable meeting on 21 July 2015 during the 33rd International Conference of the System Dynamics Society at Cambridge, Massachussets, USA.

The conference was attended by 466 participants from 45 different countries. South Africa had 11 participants (2.4%). Four Policy Council Members attended the conference, namely, the President, Prof Alan Brent; Vice-President, Ms Nalini Pillay; Organising Secretary, Dr Josephine Musango; and Publicity Secretary, Dr Jai Clifford-Holmes.


Professor Tak Igusa from Johns Hopkins System Institute is visiting South Africa again from 9 - 19 September 2015.

Working with Wits and the TCSE he will be engaging with a number of individuals and organisations to structure System Dynamics research projects jointly between SA and Johns Hopkins University.
